First valance brackets mounted
Today I mounted the first support brackets for the valance. The underside of the 10" by 14" brackets is 23” above the benchwork. The brackets are spaced 16" apart. The Railroad is born
The first piece of the Railroad benchwork is shown in the main bedroom. The benchwork is constructed of a 1x4 frame, 1/2” OSB top and 2x2 legs. Valance shelf brackets have arrived
The valance over the railroad will be supported by 14" metal shelf brackets, the first batch of which arrived today. The valance will be 20" above the benchwork (the top of which will be 49" above the floor) and utilize LED strip lights for illumination.
Backdrop walls painted
I painted a blue swath onto the bedroom walls to act as a sky backdrop for the railroad. I am hesitant to attempt to paint clouds on the backdrop as I’ve never done it before.
