Today I mounted the first support brackets for the valance. The underside of the 10″ by 14″ brackets is 23” above the benchwork. The brackets are spaced 16″ apart. I chose these heavy duty brackets with the intention of using the top side of the valance as a shelf.
The cardboard mock-up is 20” deep with a 3” overhang. LED strip lights will be mounted to the underside of the valance which will be made of 1/2″ OSB.
