On Saturday November 22, I attended a model railroad swap meet in Danville, IN. The swap was sponsored by the Central Indiana Division of the National Model Railroad Association (CID/NMRA). The NMRA promotes the hobby nationally and the CID is the local group for western Indiana. I’ve never been an NMRA member so after almost 50 years in the hobby, I decided to sign up at the show. The CID was offering a deal that new member one year sign up’s at the swap would receive a $50 coupon to use at the swap. An offer I couldn’t refuse. So for $68, I got the membership and the building seen here.
I don’t yet have a spot for the building on the railroad. I will probably kitbash a couple of buildings out of it or part it out for building flats. I’ve tried to figure out when was the last time I purchased a new building kit. I’m pretty sure it’s over 30 years ago!
