I finished the benchwork in the north bedroom closet. I chose to put the benchwork all the way to the back wall because it seemed to be the easiest way to go. From the back wall to the front of the benchwork is 42 inches, way too deep to access by the operators. I’ll probably put a wall of building flats parallel to the back wall and about 8 to 10 inches in front of it. Behind the door, I snuck in a 3 inch shelf to be used as another industry or escape track.





Clever use of the closet. Would a hidden hatch at the rear help with a larger switch yard?

If a hatch would be used, it would take up so much space as to make it pointless. Also, at my age, I want to avoid crawling on the floor as much as possible. See ya.
