Lately, I’ve been creating and operating a number of trains generated by the JMRI Ops software. On the Indiana Sub (north room) I’ve found that the IHB Yard was way too small to supply sufficient cars to the Indiana Sub let alone the entire Railroad. The IHB Yard had only a 5 car capacity plus a loco.
The IHB Yard was placed where it was because it was the farthest point east on the Railroad as the Rockville Western Yard is at the farthest west point in Illinois.
Today, I swapped the designations for the IHB Yard and Westinghouse. The new IHB Yard can hold 10 cars and a loco and Westinghouse now has a 6 car capacity.

The few trains I’ve run with the new layout have been much more satisfying and time consuming.
