Fascia support

I’m having more 4×8 sheets of OSB delivered Thursday to continue the valance project. While I wait, I’ve installed supports for the valance fascia. The 3/4” plywood strips are screwed to the top of the existing installed valance. This will give me 2” of material to fasten the 6” strip of 3/16” tempered hardboard to.

Also, I spray painted white the remaining valance brackets that don’t have OSB attached to them. The black brackets now really bug me. Must be an OCD thing. I’ll probably just brush paint the black brackets that are installed. That’ll teach me to rush into things

  1. Hmmmm…OCD thing. Seems to be a theme in a lot of layout spaces I’ve been in! For the black brackets, I’d make a spray paint template or two out of cardstock and just slip it down around each offending bracket to protect the the wall and have at it. Way easier and quicker than brushing them.
